Hypnosis is as old as humanity.

The old myths and misconceptions about hypnosis have given way to proven, scientifically sound applications. Today the use of hypnosis is seen in a variety of fields including: medicine, dentistry, education, professional sports and law. Most people have a limited understanding of the positive results that can be achieved in a professionally controlled hypnosis session. I would like to dispel some of the myths and answer the most frequently asked questions about hypnosis.

 

How does hypnosis work?

Our minds work on two levels: the conscious and the subconscious. We make decisions, think and plan with our conscious mind. In the subconscious mind is our habits, our conditioning, our fears, and our positive and negative associations. The subconscious controls 95% or more of our feelings and behavior In the relaxed state known as hypnosis, we can communicate directly with the subconscious mind to release feelings, break or create habits, and change associations and programming. This is why it is so quick and easy to change your life with hypnosis.

 

Will hypnosis work for me?

Everyone of normal intelligence, with no severe mental disorder, is hypnotizable. Therefore, virtually anyone can achieve successful results.

My name is Elizabeth Connors-Keith, I am the hypnotherapist at Hypnosis for Health. I am a graduate of Hypnosis Motivation Institute, the first nationally accredited college of hypnotherapy in the U.S. I have also been certified by the National Board of Professional and Ethical Standards for hypnotherapy and I am a member of the American Hypnosis Association. I  have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology.  I have had a hypnotherapy practice in Eureka, CA since 2006, and I can conduct phone sessions if you live out of the area.

I am passionate about inspiring and empowering people to be the best they can be, and committed to helping people become healthy, confident and spiritually connected. Using hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and counseling, I help people get in touch with their needs, make healthy choices, and tap into their innate power for change. I have helped many people stop smoking, manage their stress, release fears and old habits, and to create positive new habits. I also teach HypnoBirthing classes, which enable women to call upon their bodies’ own natural relaxant to have more comfortable, peaceful birthings.
